An open letter to "Drug Free America Foundation"

This is an open letter not only to the DFAF, but to other organizations who have lobbied Florida legislators such as "Save Our Society from Drugs" and most of all, to our Florida lawmakers themselves. Please have courage and don't allow these well funded organizations with an agenda have sway over you. We the people are crying out. Stand up for liberty and the constitution! We beg you!

Can you read this and still be proud of what you're doing?

Locked Up in Land of the Free (From 2003- It's even worse now)

Even worse, can you read this:

The prison industry in the United States: Big business or new form of slavery?

I have never understood how or why it's so impossible for some people to simply look at the facts and say "My God, What have I done?". Making a mistake is human and we all make mistakes, but once it's clear real families and real little children have had their lives ruined it takes a special kind of person not to move immediately to correct the injustice. I've seen it before where I see some prosecutor who wins his case and then years later indisputable DNA evidence arises that clearly proves the man (father of children who love him, son, and brother) innocent. While the rest of us would say "My God, What have I done?" this prosecutor say's "doesn't matter, I wasn't wrong, the man's guilty as hell".

Do you remember Eisenhower's warning us about what he coined "The military Industrial complex"? Well today we also have a "Medical Industrial Complex" and a "Justice Industrial Complex". Hell with the truth. They lobby and get bigger and bigger. Their very existence and survival and their jobs depend on it's continuation. As a group, "Drug Free America Foundation" and "The National Narcotic Officer’s Association Coalition" are all dependent on the lies and errors being continued. At least, DFAF could adjust their focus and mission to the truth. Lets face it, The National Narcotic Officer’s Association Coalition can't. All they can do is continue putting Americans in jail until there's no one left or until the people rebel. On a site I visited yesterday, one of their agents named Stacey Petrosky posted "I looooove arresting dopers, whether it's a joint or a kilo, it's all fun." Sick, Really sick! Is this who you want to be aligned with?

I want to remind you this is "The land of Liberty". "Live and Let Live" has been at the core of who we are as a people. If you had to sum up our constitution with four words, those would be the words. It's the genius of how and why our system works. Being a busy Body who wishes to control the lives of others just doesn't play well in this society and if we ever change to the point it does, God help us.

Please reconsider your position and search your heart for those principles you want to live by. In the end, it's principles we are talking about. The position you have taken is that it's OK for you and your group to dictate to others what they put in their bodies and and the end justifies the means. By taking that position, you are admitting and giving power to those who may also want to have power over your life and take away your individual liberty. Are you fat? Should you go to prison for eating Ice cream and french fries? I can assure you there are people, just like you, who believe that to be the case. What's more, they have a stronger argument than you do. It doesn't stop there. It never does. That's what happens when you give up liberty.

Please read the two links I provided. There are thousands more. Go to the U.S. prisons, look the kids in their eyes. Visit their Moms and grandparents. Do your own research and see if maybe you can agree with me that we're on a slippery slope. President Clinton, Bush, and Obama all smoked Marijuana at some point in their life. Ask yourself, "Would their lives been better if they'd been thrown into our justice system and imprisoned for years?"

I'm not mad at you. I'm a forgiving person. I just want this fixed now. I know at least some of you will read this because, like me, you're Americans. You also came from ancestors who came to this country to escape tyranny. You can speak up and help those who have real drug addictions but this time, you'll have the facts on your side and can actually help those people and at the same time end the violence and crime associated with gangs and the insane "War on Drugs"

Gov, Charlie Crist locks up Even More Florida Kids

On June 17, 2008, Gov. Charlie Crist (R) signed into law HB173/SB390, which carelessly lumps real drug dealers and small time offenders into the same category by creating the ridiculous judicial presumption that as few as 25 marijuana plants — one-fourth the amount the federal government considers a trafficking threshold — makes one a "drug trafficker." Florida already had the dubious honor of having the nation's harshest marijuana possession laws — less than 20 grams can land you in jail for a year and cost you $1,000. Even worse, possession of more than 20 grams is a felony. This new law puts Florida even further ahead of the draconian pack as the Sunshine State can now claim a trafficking standard 4 times as tough as the federal government's!

Senate candidate Shawn M. Teeters: “Yes I support medical marijuana.”

Florida Senate candidate Shawn M. Teeters announced his support for legalized medical marijuana on his Facebook page Monday 9/21/09. His statement read “Yes I support medical marijuana.”

Amazing Marijuana Facts:There are five types of cancers that marijuana stops tumor cells from spreading: brain, breast, lung, pancreatic, and prostate.”

Teeters is running for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate for 2010 against Gov. Charlie Crist and former state House Speaker Marco Rubio.

There is currently a Medical Marijuana Ballot Initiative in Florida collecting signatures on a petition to support a constitutional amendment that gives patients the right to grow, obtain, purchase and possess medical marijuana under a doctor's supervision. For more information or to download the petition see http://www.PUFMM.org or call 850-862-6880
